CCR 2005 Directions

There are many ways to get to the 2005 Curve Cowboy Reunion.  Most will arrive by land using the most scenic routes; however, a few of you might want to arrive by air. The 2005 Curve Cowboy Reunion will be held at the Jackson Lake Lodge, with RV, Camping, and overflow Hotel at Colter Bay.

By Land

The Lake Jackson Lodge is located in the heart of Grand Teton National Park.  You will be required to purchase a park pass to get to the Lake Jackson Lodge; however, your park pass will allow you 7-days access to both Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. There are many different ways to get to Grand Teton National Park.

From the Northeast (Billings, MT and I-90) US 212 over Bearthooth Pass and through Yellowstone NP

From the Northwest (Butte, MT and I-90) US 287 to West Yellowstone and through Yellowstone NP

From the East (Cody, WY) US 14/16/20 through Yellowstone NP

From the Southeast (Lander, WY) US 287 to Moran Junction and Grand Teton NP

From the West (Idaho Falls, ID and I-15) US 26 to Jackson and Grand Teton NP

From the Southwest (Salt Lake City, UT and I-15) US 89 to US 26 to Jackson and Grand Teton NP

From the South (I-80) US 191 (from Rock Springs) or US 189 (from I-80) to Jackson and Grand Teton NP

Road Construction is a ongoing affair at Yellowstone and Grand Teton.  Check out the Road Closures page for the latest information.

By Air

Jackson Hole Airport is serviced by many different airlines, including American from Dallas and Chicago, Delta and Skywest/Delta Connection from Salt Lake City, Northwest Airlines from Minneapolis/St Paul, and United Airlines and United Express from Denver.  Other options for getting to the Jackson Hole area include flying into the Idaho Falls Airport in Idaho, just 90 miles away. Flights into Idaho Falls Airport are serviced by Skywest and Horizon and can be sometimes be considerably cheaper than flying into Jackson Hole.

Additionally, there is a daily shuttle service available from Idaho Falls to Jackson Hole. You may also choose to fly into Salt Lake City Airport in Utah and rent a car or take the daily shuttle. The drive to Jackson Hole from Salt Lake City takes about five hours, and varies according to weather and road conditions. Detailed driving directions are available from the Jackson Hole Visitors Bureau.

Most people don't know that Jackson Hole is actually the name of a valley. The town of Jackson, located at the southern end of Jackson Hole, is the biggest town in the valley. As you can see from this map, it's pretty tough to run out of places to explore in this valley alone.
