| Jackson Lake Lodge
Jackson Lake Lodge is situated on a bluff with
spectacular views across the water of Jackson Lake to the skyline of the
Tetons. There are 348 guest cottage rooms located on either side of the
lodge as well as 37 guest rooms in the main lodge building.
The upper lobby features 60 foot picture
windows framing the Teton Mountain range as well as a collection of Native
American artifacts and Western art.
Meals are memorable in the
Mural Room with its Rocky
Mountain cuisine and breathtaking panoramic Teton views, open daily for
breakfast, lunch and dinner. The
Pioneer Grill offers counter service of light meals, snacks and soda
fountain treats, open daily from 6:00 am to 10:30 pm. The
Blue Heron Cocktail Lounge
features live entertainment, your favorite beverage and snack along with
spectacular views.
Guest facilities include gift and apparel
shops, a large heated outdoor swimming pool, horseback riding, scenic Snake
River float trips, lake cruises on Jackson Lake, bus tours of Grand Teton
and Yellowstone National Parks, lake and river fishing, a service station
and a medical clinic.
Extensive
conference facilities are
available for groups up to 700 people, featuring 17 breakout rooms, over
17,000 square feet of meeting space and the finest in banqueting conference
services.
In keeping with the National Park location,
rooms do not have televisions or radios, but do have telephones, voicemail
and data ports.
Jackson Lake Lodge, located in Grand Teton
National Park, is 26 scenic miles north of the Jackson Hole Airport and
just 20 miles from the south entrance to Yellowstone.
Colter Bay Village
Tucked along the shores of Jackson Lake, the
Colter Bay Village is just that, a whole village. Accommodations range from
cabins to an RV park. Cabins do not have televisions, radios or telephones.
There are two restaurants, launderette and showers, a grocery store, gift
and apparel shops, corrals, service station and a full service marina.
Colter Bay Log Cabins - 166 cozy cabins
offer a variety of sizes and floor plans, some sleeping up to six people.
Some of these cabins even belonged to the original settlers! Most cabins
have a complete bath with shower. Open May 28 - September 26, 2004.
Colter Bay Tent Cabins - Constructed of
canvas roofs and log walls, this is real deluxe camping complete with an
outdoor grill, woodburning stove, two double-decker bunks and a picnic
table. Sleeping bags, cots, blankets, etc. may be rented. Restrooms are
available. Open June 4 - September 6, 2004.
Colter Bay RV Park - 112 trailer spaces,
each with sewer, electrical and water connections and a picnic table, are
available with most being pull-through and shaded. Open May 28 - September
26, 2004.
Getting to Grand Teton National Park
Daily jet service is available from Delta,
American and United airlines. Transportation is available from the Jackson
Hole Airport to Jackson Lake Lodge round trip for just $40.00 plus a $10.00
per person National Park entry fee ($20.00 per private vehicle). This
allows entry into both Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks for seven
days.
Private 45, 21 or 11 passenger bus charter
service is available to groups staying at Jackson Lake Lodge. Visit
Yellowstone, the town of Jackson or National Museum of Wildlife Art via
private bus charter. |
