CCR In the news!

Registration for CCR 2011 has now closed. We will announce the next Reunion Friday, September 2nd.

The Curve Cowboy Reunion began with a few BMW enthusiasts who met at Broken Bow, Oklahoma, over three days in September, 2000. They created the opportunity for owners and riders to get together, 'in real life', outside of the internet. The camaraderie and joy of the ride at that beginning leads us still, this year to ... August. At the heart of the event was a BMW touring motorcycle, the K1200LT, but the annual reunion opened itself to enthusiasts on all brands and models of motorcycle. The CCR event promotes three fundamental goals: to present a positive view of motorcycling; to promote rider education and safety; and to make a positive impact by contributing to a worthy local group serving children to help them achieve its charitable purpose in the host community.

  • Are you looking for something different than the usual fare for a motorcycle rally?
  • Are you looking for an event that is geared to the rider as well as the passenger?
  • Are you or your spouse tired of riding thousands of miles only to find yourselves camping on the ground in the rain and long for the luxuries of a first-class hotel, room service, spa, or a heavenly bed?

We suggest an event that has thrived since the millennium....

At the end of the summer, ride to Boise, Idaho and spend August 30 through September 2, 2011 with us at the PREMIER, hotel based Motorcycle Touring event of the year.

Located on 14 acres overlooking the Boise River, The Doubletree Boise Riverside will be an excellent location for the 2011 Reunion. This meandering property lends itself perfectly to meeting, greeting and socializing. We will be minutes away from hundreds of miles of scenic riding, including the Ponderosa Pine Scenic Byway, Payette River Scenic Byway, The Sawtooth Mountains, and even some more adventurous rides like the Main Oregon Trail Back Country Byway for those who like a little off road in their outings. Plus there are many opportunities to hike, bike, kayak and more, all minutes away from the hotel.

CCR is open to anyone, regardless of their preferred brand or model of motorcycle, but the event grew out of the BMW Luxury Touring Community at (formerly the K1200LT Group at YahooGroups) and continues to be dominated by BMW touring and dual sport motorcycles.

If this is sounds like what you've been looking for, take a virtual tour of CCR and visit the rest of our website, or come join us on the internet at the BMW Luxury Touring Community in the Curve Cowboy Reunion Message Board, and watch the tension build as August nears!!! BUT, you should know this event is put on entirely by volunteers and the format and venue always force us to limit attendance. Most years we have we have sold out our available space well in advance of the event, so we urge you to reserve your spot as soon as you can! We look forward to seeing you at this year's Curve Cowboy Reunion. Don't miss out on CCR this year!!!
